Placing pixels…
Placing pixels…
Everything that governs how Pixelin works, written to be read rather than skimmed past. Four documents, one page.

The agreement between you and Pixelin when you place pixels, run a canvas, or buy a balance.
By creating an account or placing a pixel, you agree to these terms. If you are using Pixelin on behalf of an organization, you confirm you have the authority to accept them for that organization.
You need to be at least 13 years old to hold an account, and old enough to make a payment in your country if you buy pixels.
Keep your sign-in details to yourself. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account, so tell us right away if you think someone else has access.
A pixel balance is a license to place color on canvas cells inside Pixelin. It is not money, it earns no interest, and it cannot be transferred or cashed out.
Each pixel you place is $1 unless a creator sets a different price for their canvas. Erasing a cell you own returns that pixel to your balance. Cells already owned by another person stay with them until they remove their own color.
Do not upload or paint content that is illegal, hateful, or infringes someone else's rights. Do not script, automate, or overload the canvas, and do not interfere with other people's ability to take part.
The creator of a canvas owns the finished artwork. By placing a pixel you grant the creator and Pixelin a license to display, archive, print, and promote the canvas you contributed to. You keep credit as a contributor.
Some canvases route a share of pixel sales to a charity. The split is shown before you buy. We pass on the agreed amount to the named partner and publish a record once the canvas closes.
You can close your account at any time. We may suspend access if these terms are broken, and we will tell you why when we can. These terms change as the product grows; we will post the date of the latest version at the top of this page.
What we collect when you use Pixelin, why we collect it, and the control you have over it.
We use your data to run the canvas in real time, keep your balance accurate, show who placed which pixel, prevent abuse, and let creators understand how their canvas is doing.
We do not sell your personal data. We share what is needed with payment processors to take payments, with charity partners as aggregate totals rather than individual records, and with authorities when the law requires it.
We use cookies to keep you signed in and to understand usage. You can read the details in the Cookie Policy below and change your choices at any time.
You can view and edit your account details, export your contribution history, and ask us to delete your account. Write to privacy@pixelin.app and we will respond within 30 days.
We keep your account data while your account is open. Pixels you have placed remain part of the public canvas record so the artwork stays intact, even after an account closes.
What we expect from creators who launch a canvas and invite a community to paint it.
Tell your community what the canvas is for, how much pixels cost, and where the money goes. Surprises break trust, and trust is what keeps people painting.
Moderate your canvas. Remove content that is hateful, illegal, or harmful, and step in early when a community member is being harassed. You set the tone for everyone who joins.
If you promise a charity split, name the partner and the amount up front, and follow through. We publish the totals when a canvas closes, so keep your records straight.
Do not manipulate balances, run hidden bots, or claim large areas to lock others out. The canvas is a shared space, and the best ones leave room for everyone.
We may pause or remove a canvas that breaks these guidelines. Where we can, we will reach out first and give you a chance to put things right.
We would rather you ask than guess. Reach the team at hello@pixelin.co.uk.
